Just settling down to an afternoon of doing not very much at all, when the call comes from neighbour Nik who is also at a loose end and suggests a trip to the Saha Farms complex. It’s a tacky monstrosity of a place; but it’s just down the road and maybe there is something to shoot.
Turns out to be bloody hot and enthusiasm soon wanes; but not before I knock off some shots with the very wonderful Panasonic 7-14mm:
There was also some scruffy peacocks; but with a 45mm as the longest lens in my bag, it was hard to get anywhere near them.
After an hour or so we gave up, and on the way home we rather guiltily stopped off at a MacDonald’s for an ice cream. The place was rammed with Thais shoveling down chips and getting fat; one Western influence they could certainly do without. The ice cream, with hot chocolate sauce, was however delicious and not in the slightest bit fattening.
