The last years of my previous life were spent working in Bangkok. The company was a great place to work, with fun people to work with. Sadly it all came to an end when our masters in The Hague decided to sell the company, and all of us were cast to the wind (which in my case meant retirement and for most of my Thai staff it meant employment with the new owner). But such was the spirit of camaraderie, reunions have been arranged every few years, and last night was one of them. Even after fourteen years, there was a healthy turn out and I really enjoyed meeting up with the gang again. Good times.
She who must be obeyed did not want me driving home in the dark, and I didn’t fancy it either (although driving home this morning in a rainstorm surrounded by suicidal dickheads wasn’t a bundle of laughs); so I drove up yesterday morning and booked into a hotel. With an hour or so to spare before the reunion, I took a walk around Siam and took a few shots.
