A small bag full

After much deliberation, my companions for the Ukraine jaunt have been chosen.

Olympus PEN-F
Panasonic GF1 (adapted for infra-red)
Olympus 75mm
Panasonic Nocticron 42.5mm
Panasonic Leica 15mm
Olympus 9mm bodycap lens

Supported by a shitload of batteries and chargers, because I don’t expect many shots per charge at -30 degrees wind chill.

This lot fits in a small bag. Would like to take a film camera as well, but that’s a piece of kit too far.

Chernobyl, here we come!

  1. Wait until you have to take your gloves off to press the shutter, change aperture etc in -30!

And don’t get caught short. In those temperatures many a man has been riveted to the basin. LOL

    Anyway, Comrade, enjoy yourself.

  2. Hi, apologies for hijacking this post – I read, with extreme interest, another post of yours where you describe the construction of a customised “hemostat spanner” to unscrew the rear lens of your Yashicamat. The thing is, I’ve just purchased a Mat 124G with similar problems to yours on the taking lens. I was wondering if there was any way to purchase one of your ready made hemostat spanners! 😀 I’m far too useless with tools to build my own, and it seems a CLA on this camera will cost me more than the camera itself. Please write me to let me know if this would be possible!
